What haunts you?

You’re torn apart
You want to make yourself invisible and get in everybody’s face
Your world is spinning apart faster and faster, and nothing is happening
You want to pull your hair out and be content
You want to scream so loud that no one can hear

A fire burns deep within you. It is the fire of your soul.
Parts of the fire scream, “Don’t extinguish us!”
They need your spirit to keep from dying
If you let them have it you will die
If they don’t get it you will die

And yet you’re being torn apart

Part of your inner war against everything is dust you picked up from a passing comet
It makes you glow brightly as meteors glow, but it is only dust
Part of what’s destroying you needs healing. Follow it to it’s root. Let it be healed.
Part of your inner screaming is the screaming of your fire
Your fire that ignites you and sets you on fire
The fire that makes you glow brighter than a thousand meteors and is not dust

Your fire is trying to live and you won’t let it
Your fire is trying to speak and you tell it to hush
Your fire is trying to be
Be your fire – live – ignite – speak!

What does it mean to Hug the Wind? To not only ride it and go where it’s going, but to deeply embrace it, to give it a bear hug? Perhaps, only bears can hug the wind, but we can all try. What does it mean to be hugged by the wind?

Remember the last time you had freshly picked blueberries? You bit into one and let it’s juice run over your teeth and tongue and down your throat. And if you let yourself be young enough, you let it run over your face and hands also. Mmmm. Scrumptious. Now, take some blueberries and let their juice run over your soul.
